Nieuw Utrechts Toneel
Brand identity for Dutch theatre company
The New Utrecht Theatre (Nieuw Utrechts Toneel) creates performances inspired by their surroundings. They are the initiators of four shows, each with a unique concept, story and audience.
The colon (:) became the starting point for the new brand identity. This punctation mark is often associated with an announcement, which conveys the New Utrechts Theatre’s commitment to presenting the best performances to its audience. The circular shapes become the core of the identity, which are combined with a strong typefaces to create a distinctive brand identity. Each show has it’s own icon and (custom) typography. The whole brand identity is bound together by the illustrative, typographic and colourful style.
Each show has it’s own website, for which we created a template. This allows the client to add new websites more easily whenever a new show is created. Now the New Utrecht Theater can focus on what they do best: creating wonderful performances!
